StarLab coming to Nature Center
Join Darke County Parks as we welcome the Boonshoft Museum of
Discovery’s StarLab to the Nature Center on Saturday, January 19th at
1:00pm! This portable planetarium will be set up indoors to help us

Cancer Support Group to hold Christmas Carry-In
The Cancer Association Support Group was cancelled in December due to
an emergency. The group will meet for the annual Christmas carry-in (a
little late ☺ ) on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 7 p.m. at
Wayne
Health Care. The carry-in will be held in the 3rd floor Conference
Room. Chicken will be provided by Judy Eikenberry (board

Meeting scheduled January 24 - GREENVILLE – The Great Ohio Bicycle
Adventure, commonly called GOBA, will celebrate its 25th year in 2013
with a visit to Darke County, including an overnight in Greenville and
food stops in Versailles and Ansonia. GOBA is an annual, eight-day,
50-mile-per-day circular bicycle camping tour in Ohio that began in
1989 and has grown to be the second largest such event in the country.

The Darke County Board of Commissioners has scheduled “Special
Sessions” to be held on Friday, December 28th, 2012, at 9:00 a.m., for
2012 Appropriation Increases & Decreases; AND Friday,
January
4, 2013, at 9:00 a.m., for signing 2013 Appropriations. No
“Regular Session” will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2013.
The
Board of Commissioners will continue to hold “Regular Sessions” on
Monday & Wednesdays at 1:30 p.m., starting the week of January
7th,
2013.

The public is invited to attend Greenville First United Methodist’s
Candlelight Christmas Eve Service on December 24th at
8:30.
Music will begin at 8:15, followed by traditional Christmas carols, the

This Friday, December 7th marks the 71st anniversary of the Japanese
attack on the US Naval Base at Pearl Harbor in

Giving”
Heartland of Greenville invites the public to their first annual “Day
