Bradford holds off scrappy
Ansonia bunch; Tigers
make fourth quarter push in upset bid
By George Starks - BRADFORD - When a team follows the game plan a coach
puts out, good things happen. When a team gets away from that game
plan, things have a tendency to fall apart. Such was the case for the
Bradford Lady Railroaders as the Roaders posted a tough 49-42 Cross
County Conference victory over Ansonia Thursday. The game plan for
Bradford was obvious right from the beginning. Throw a zone press at
the Tigers and go after... read

Arcanum

ARCANUM- After waltzing into Tri-Village a week ago and leaving with a
57-45 Cross County Conference victory, it was all Arcanum could do to
hold off a stubborn bunch from Ansonia. Despite a 29 point performance
from senior Catey Fischer Wednesday, the Lady Tigers could pull off the
biggest upset of their 2014 season. Hitting 11 of 19 from the line, it
wasn’t enough as the Trojans held on... read

A
wild and crazy night, By George Starks
NEW MADISON - If I wouldn’t have seen it with my own eyes, I probably
never would have believed it. I’ve been covering prep sports since
1987, and I honestly can’t remember if a Tri-Village basketball team
has ever been shut out in the first quarter of any game. I seriously
don’t remember any Patriot team ever coming back from 20 points down
with one quarter left to play, to win a game on a buzzer beater in
overtime... read

Tri-Village survives huge scare from Bethel - NEW MADISON- On a night
when Tri-Village couldn’t buy a bucket. On a night when the only thing
worse than the weather outside was the Patriots offense inside. On a
night when it looked like the undefeated Patriots weren’t going to
remain that way, the unimaginable happened. With 3.2 seconds remaining
in overtime and things knotted up at 55-55, sophomore... read

Trojans pull off the unthinkable; Arcanum blows out T-V in crucial
CCC game,
By George Starks
NEW MADISION - It’s not often that a team can waltz into ‘The
Battleground’ at Tri-Village and leave with a victory. On a rare
(unthinkable) occasion, can a team not only get a win there, but post a
convincing blow-out of the Lady Patriots. Thursday, Rachel Fearon and
her Arcanum Lady Trojans pulled off what most teams can only dream of.
The unthinkable! Never forgetting a 59-52 loss to the Patriots in the
championship game of the Burkett in... read

Bengals… Lewis

MOBILE, Ala. — It was 11 years ago at this game that Marvin Lewis
became head coach of the Bengals and as he wrapped up his scouting trip
to the Senior Bowl Wednesday he pledged the third reboot of his tenure.
The first one was spurred by his hire. The drafting of perennial Pro
Bowl wide receiver A.J. Green and quarterback Andy Dalton three years
ago marked the next one and led to three straight postseason berths.

Ft. Loramie more than just another team - VERSAILLES- When it comes to

were wars and they were against each other. Tuesday, the two teams met
and once again the game went right down to the final buzzer in what
will go down as a classic battle. In a game that featured 11 lead... read
