Center shooting, Joe Cogliano
One person is in custody and one injured after a shooting at the Dayton
VA Medical Center on Monday. The suspect, Neil Moore, 59, a former
employee of the VA, opened fire with a revolver shortly after noon in a
break room in the basement area of the VA’s main building, striking
Paul Burnside, 61, who was shot once in the ankle. Reports indicate
Burnside was struggling with Moore over the weapon when he was shot.
