Did You Know?
County News Online is a top source for education news
County News Online (www.countynewsonline.org) is a fundraising arm of
Empowering Darke County Youth. It is also one of your top sources for
education news, analysis and opinion. The website publishes six days a
week, Monday through Saturday. Daily teases are offered on Facebook
County News Online, while weekly updates are sent out to CNO
subscribers each Monday.
Before the pandemic hit, CNO was averaging 40,000 to 50,000 visits a
month. It dropped by half in April when the pandemic hit, but has
started climbing back up again.
CNO provides overnight posting of obituaries from its two Empowering
supporters, Tribute Funeral Homes and Zechar Bailey Funeral Home. The
website provides local news and events. Although those have been a
little scarce for the last few months, they should start increasing as
things slowly return to a sense of normalcy. And it provides daily
updates on the state of education: both K-12 and post-secondary.

their support through large and small banners and towers. Any business
