Empowering Newsletter offers Summer Fun
Opportunities
GREENVILLE – Empowering Darke County Youth’s June Newsletter offers a
great list of summer fun and educational activities for Darke County
young people. Compiled by Empowering Board Member Brittany Ulman, the
“Essentials” list has activities that all ages can enjoy.
Included in the one-page flyer are ideas for outside and indoor fun,
virtual learning, staying connected, staying healthy and happy, cooking
and learning, getting “crafty,” and adventures “awaiting.” Ideas cover
just about everything a child with an enquiring mind would be
interested in, from camping in the backyard to building clothespin cars
and becoming a Junior Ranger. Some ideas have links, others leave it up
to the child’s imagination.
Not forgetting the treasure trove of opportunities we have in Darke
County, there are also links for Empowering Distance, Empowering Darke
County Youth and Youth For Christ of Miami Valley Facebook pages, YMCA
on Demand, Darke County Parks and GPL Summer Reading Program.
This exciting page, Summer Fun Essentials, can be downloaded, all links
intact, by going to http://www.countynewsonline.org/empowering-tips.pdf
