Edison State Community College
100% Scholarships Proving to be a Game-Changer for Students and ESCC
June 23, 2020
With the continued issues surrounding our nation’s healthcare COVID-19
pandemic, Edison State Community College understands the stress this
challenge has placed on each of us and our communities. Graduating high
school seniors are no exception as they are filled with uncertainty in
many directions coupled with difficult decisions about their plans for
starting college in the Fall.
As part of its continued support and ongoing commitment to both
students and the communities we serve, Edison State has expanded its
College Credit Plus (CCP) tuition scholarship offer to include a larger
population of students. This expanded opportunity, unique in many ways,
offers a 100-percent tuition scholarship for all graduating high school
seniors in the Edison State service area and CCP partner high schools
regardless of their level of participation in the CCP program.
Edison State offers over one-hundred degrees, certificates, and
short-term technical certificates in the areas of Business, Engineering
and Manufacturing, Health Sciences, Information Technology, and Social
and Public Services designed to help graduates enter the workforce. In
addition, partnerships held with four-year universities across the
state and country provide a seamless transfer upon a students’
completion.
Dr. Doreen Larson, president of Edison State, understands the vital
role the college plays in the community. “Edison State historically
reports a high level of successful student transfer to four-year
universities. Within this environment of uncertainty, I am confident in
the continuing strength of our transfer partnerships along with the
unsurpassed teaching excellence that Edison State offers. This
scholarship incentive is designed to promote the community college
option to more high school graduates and their families” said Dr.
Larson.
“The mission of Edison State is to provide the comprehensive resources
for educational achievement that align with the dreams and aspirations
of our students. We do not want any high school graduate to set aside
their dream of attending college, even for a short time. I am excited
to offer the personal career guidance, intern and apprentice options,
and real-world experience of our faculty that are the hallmarks of an
Edison State education to every high school graduate in our region”
added President Larson.
