Reopening Darke County
Fun times ahead in September

It has certainly been a challenging year, but there is still a lot to be thankful for. September is looking like it might be the time to finally get outside and enjoy all that Greenville and Darke County have to offer.

The Darke County Parks have been open throughout the pandemic and many locals have rediscovered the trails - both bike and walking. As fall approaches, there is no better time to visit one of the Park District locations. If you're looking for a list of bests, lets start with the sunrise and sunset. The best place to experience the sunrise is at Routzong Preserve. The best place to watch the sunset is on top of the hill behind the Shawnee prairie Preserve. Visit www.darkecountyparks.org for more information.

Main Street Greenville will be holding its First Friday on Sept. 4 (see graphic below). Join them for the Park National Bank presents the Downtown Greenville Grand-Reopening First Friday on Friday, Sept. 4.  This First Friday will celebrate the investment the City of Greenville made into the downtown community this year and include some of the events that were postponed due to the pandemic. Join us for the Jordan Agency Artisan Stroll, Volunteer Fair, Theatre on Third and What's Your Sign Scavenger Hunt presented by Darke County Makers Co-op. The event runs from 6-9 p.m.

As indicated by the picture at the top of this email, the Rolling 50's Classic Cruise-In is on. Don't miss one of Ohio's largests cruise-ins on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2-8 p.m. For more information, contact Dave Niley at (937) 548-4517 or Kenny Erwin at (937) 337-6703.

Find Your Fun:
