Puzzle Pete Is Happy

Pete looks at his garden and smiles. To keep your brain active, puzzle
solving is a good activity. In this word chain puzzle, the last letter
of each 4-letter answer is the first letter of the next answer. Work up
and down. The puzzle is started for you. Solved correctly, reading
down, the first letters of the answers spell out why Pete is happy.
Wilson's completed set of books has a new edition – now six volumes –
