Phyllis Jean Spencer
Phyllis Jean Spencer, 89, of Arcanum, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday,
February 25, 2020, at Greenville Health and Rehab.
Phyllis was born on May 2, 1930, in New Madison, Ohio, to the late
George and Pauline Ahlering.
In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death in by her
husband of 71 years, Milton Spencer, whom she married on May 2, 1948;
and her brothers, George Jr. and Walter Ahlering.
Phyllis lived a simple life. She loved her family and enjoyed spending
time outdoors camping, fishing, and mushroom hunting.
Phyllis is survived by her children, Jerry Spencer and his wife, Barb,
of Saint Marys, Ohio, Charles Spencer and his wife, Audrey, of Arcanum,
Mark Spencer and his wife, Lisa, of Arcanum, and Carol Carstensen and
her husband, Rich, of Sidney, Ohio; her eight grandchildren, several
great grandchildren, and countless nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery, in Fort
Jefferson, at the convenience of the family.
The family has entrusted Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus, with
the arrangements.
