Janet Fay Strickler
Janet Fay Strickler, 80, of Eaton, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday,
March 25, 2020, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Eaton.
She was born on January 25, 1940, and was the third child of the late
Harmon Eugene Strickler and Margaret Amanda (Longanecker) Strickler of
Castine, Ohio.
In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by an older
sister, Phyllis Jean Strickler of Greenville.
Janet was an active member of the Ithaca Open Bible Church for over 60
years and loved planting flower gardens both at the church and at her
home. She loved to crochet and knitted hundreds of hats for needy
children.
She is survived by two sisters, Emma Joyce (Strickler) Maglott of
Kettering, Ohio, and Patsy Ruth (Strickler) Whye of Lower Burrell,
Pennsylvania; and one brother Charles Russell Strickler of Castine; and
numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service at Castine Cemetery, conducted by Reverend David
Fox, pastor of the Ithaca Open Bible Church, will be held at 10:00 AM
on Monday, March 30, 2020.
Funeral arrangements are being made by Tribute Funeral Homes, New
Madison campus.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions, specified for missionaries,
may be sent in Janet’s name to the Ithaca Open Bible Church, 6711 Cross
Street, Ithaca, Ohio 45304.
