Kerry A. Ungericht
Kerry A. Ungericht, 75, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away at this home
on Monday, October 19, 2020.
He was born on August 30, 1945, in Greenville, Ohio, to the late John
and Juanita (Jessup) Ungericht.
Kerry was a 1963 graduate of Greenville High School. After he graduated
from the Dayton Barber College, Kerry worked for The Hair Shack in
Greenville with Kenny Bowman until he retired after 23 years of service.
Kerry loved cars and was known for his collection of Corvettes and
Camaros. His love for cars made him a great fit for his part-time job
at NAPA, where he currently worked. He liked to listen to country music
and dancing with his wife, Linda. In fact, it was common for Kerry and
Linda to be the highlight of the dance floor when they were dancing. He
enjoyed all sports. From football to baseball to NASCAR and basketball,
there was not a sport Kerry didn’t enjoy. He especially liked the Green
Bay Packers and the Cincinnati Reds and watching Greenville athletics.
Kerry was a member of the Sons of the American Legion, a lifetime
member of the Eagles and Moose, and was a part of the VFW Boosters. He
was also a member of the Greenville Masonic Lodge #143.
Kerry is survived by his wife of 55 years, Linda (Thompson) Ungericht,
whom he married on July 31, 1965; his son, Berhane Belew and his wife,
Teresa, of Greenville; his grandson, Daniel Belew, of Greenville;
numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; and his
beloved dog, Shaggy.
The family would like to thank the Comprehensive Health Network and the
doctors and nurses at Family Health for their generous care they
provided to Kerry.
A celebration of Kerry’s life will take place at 11:00 AM on Friday,
October 23, 2020, at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus with Rev.
Randy Devor officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Township
Memorial Gardens.
