Dennis Leon Sides
Dennis Leon Sides, 75, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Thursday,
January 28, 2021, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio.
He was born on November 25, 1945, in Dayton, to the late Lester and
Martha (Rurode) Sides.
In addition to his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by his son,
Mark Sides; his daughter, Paula Lewis; his grandson, Evan Sides; and
his siblings, Charles, Donald, and Keith Sides, and Verna Cook.
Dennis was a hard working and dedicated man. He devoted 26 years to
Sheller-Globe as an industrial painter. Following that, he worked for
the Body Company for eight years before becoming a cabinet maker. He
enjoyed many things; he was an Ohio State Buckeye fan, he loved
fishing, horseback riding, wood working and riding his motorcycle.
However, all these hobbies were far more enjoyable when shared with his
family. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great
grandson. He was a caring and loving person who was always willing to
help others.
Dennis is survived by his wife of nearly 42 years, Janice (Mock) Sides,
whom he married on February 17, 1979; his children, Todd Sides of
Columbus, Ohio, Darrel Sides of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Tony Lewis and
his wife, Lynn, of Greenville; his grandchildren, Nathan and his wife,
Mai, Jeffrey and his wife, Elizabeth, Melissa and her husband Michael,
Mackenzie and her husband, Justin, Brandi, Spencer and his wife,
Emilie, Conner, and Lance; and his great grandson Hudson.
A Celebration of Dennis’ life will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday,
February 3, 2021 at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville campus with
Pastor Sylvia McKibben officiating. Burial will follow in Miami
Memorial Park in Covington, Ohio.
His family will be receiving guests on Wednesday, from 10:00 AM until
the time of the service at noon at the funeral home.
