Resident asks Darke County Sheriff to ignore DeWine mandates
From Lyn Bliss
To the editor: Following is a letter I sent to our Darke County Sherriff:
Sheriff Spencer –
How about letting Darke County get back to work? Being the highest law
enforcement official governing Darke County, you can choose to not
enforce any regulation you believe to violate your oath of upholding
the Constitutions of the United States or Ohio. Please make a statement
letting the businesses and residents of Darke County know you have no
intention of enforcing the restrictions to close businesses and ban
people from gathering. It is our right to assemble and pursue happiness
(earning a living would be high on that list). Darke Countians are
suffering and you have the power to end that!
Our residents are adults, we do not need parenting by the government. We are able to be responsible and safeguard our own lives.
Thank you.
